Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21 May 2026
Riffpad is a touch-first piano roll and melody sketching app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Data We Collect
Riffpad does not collect personal data from you. The app does not use developer-operated accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud sync in the current version.
Data Stored On Your Device
Riffpad can save your patterns and editor preferences locally on your device so the app can restore your work. This local data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Files You Import Or Export
If you import MIDI files, Riffpad reads the files you select through the iOS file picker. If you export MIDI or audio previews, those files are created locally and shared only through the iOS share sheet actions you choose.
MIDI, Audio Units, And Audio Playback
Riffpad can play local audio previews and can route notes to on-device Core MIDI destinations or Audio Unit instruments that you select. Riffpad does not send this information to the developer.
Third-Party Services
Riffpad does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs in the current version.
Data Retention And Deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or clear the relevant device data. Exported files are controlled by you and by the destination where you save or share them.
Children's Privacy
Riffpad is not designed to collect personal information from children.
Changes To This Policy
If Riffpad's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date will be revised.
